I found that I needed a space I could vent and be me. To say all the thoughts that were on my mind and NOT have nosey family members say, that a woman shouldn't post those things. Not everything is negative. Some is off color humor that I enjoy. So if you have a problem with it then DON'T read it.

Protein shakes. Vitamins. Diets. OH MY! Day 1

So I am on a mission to find a great tasting protein shake that fills you up but doesn't wreck your stomach, have a ton of calories or leaves you feeling hungry 45 minutes later. Wish me luck!

Today's breakfast menu is:

12 oz. of 1% milk

6 ice cubes

1 level scoop of RightSize SkinniVanilli

Comments:

It tastes like what Bisquick mix and play-doh smell like.
Not impressed but not a terrible chalky after taste.
Thinking of mixing it with a banana or some frozen pineapple in the blender next time.
Tastes better than Slim-fast and Equate brand meal replacement shakes.

Calorie breakdown:

180 calories from the milk only 30 calories from fat.
100 calories from the RightSize Smoothie only 25 calories from fat.

So how will 280 calories fill me up and how long will it last?

The answer is that 3 hours later I was HUNGRY. I had drank 34 ounces of water and my stomach was growling. So not the most filling thing by itself but I imagine if I added a hard boiled egg to the menu in the morning or a low fat frigo string cheese it would help. A hard boiled egg is roughly 70 calories and a light string cheese is 60. Or even add an apricot which is only 17 calories.

Went to Applebee's for lunch while out shopping with my mother. Their under 550 calorie meals rock. I had the grilled shrimp with island rice and steamed veggies no seasoning and it was under 380 calories.

Dinner I didn't do as well on. It ended up being me craving sugar. I drank 20 ounces of water and that was no help. So I ended up eating a chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve from El Pollo Loco, while getting gas in the Jeep. The cone was 490 calories and left me feeling guilty and unsatisfied. :( Not good at all.

Starting the Dual Action Diet Cleanse this coming Wednesday too. That should be interesting. Yes, I know there are more effective ways to do a colon cleanse but I want to try this one.

I have talked to 2 of my doctors about everything I am taking and trying and they said it is fine for me as long as I am eating an 80% vegetable 20% fruit diet along with it and drinking plenty of water. So check with your doctor because you never want to start something that may make you feel worse or interact badly with medicines.
